The Problem With How Things Work Today
Go online right now and you will find someone making a very bold professional claim. A senior engineer with five years of experience. A designer with a hundred successful projects. A video editor with an impressive client list. And you want to congratulate them. But you cannot, because you have no idea if any of it is true. So you raise a brow and scroll past.
Professional platforms have become places where overinflating achievements is not the exception. It is the norm. The louder the claim, the more it gets noticed. The quieter, more honest professional gets buried.
And now it has gotten worse.
AI tools built specifically to cheat technical interviews have made it possible to pass without understanding a single line of what you wrote. Someone presents confidently, answers fluently, gets hired as a "senior software engineer" and on their first week of real work, they are vibecoding their way through a codebase, leaving critical vulnerabilities behind that your team will spend months cleaning up. You did not hire a senior engineer. You hired someone who was very good at appearing to be one.
This is the system as it exists today. Nexr is the answer to all of it.
What Nexr Is
Nexr is a verified portfolio platform for technical creatives — developers, designers, and video creators. It is where you build your professional presence, showcase your actual work, and have everything confirmed at the source.
Nexr is not a resume host. It is not a portfolio builder. It is not another professional network with a dark mode. It is a platform, and the Nexr profile is your portable verified credential. Everything you have built, confirmed before anyone asks a single question.
What We Built
We asked a simple question: what if you could take one glance at a candidate's profile and immediately, confidently, know if they are the right fit?
Nexr is the answer.
On the surface, a Nexr profile looks like a modern portfolio. You send your link to an employer. They see your experience, your projects, your credentials. But the critical difference is this: on Nexr, everything is pre-verified.
How Verification Works
Employment Verification
When a user claims they worked at a company, Nexr sends a one-click verification email to the company's HR or a verified team member. The verifier clicks once. The experience is confirmed. No forms. No back-and-forth. No ambiguity.
If the company has a Nexr account, the verification links directly to their profile. If not, the email verification still works, and the company is invited to claim their presence.
Project Verification
For developers: Nexr connects directly to their version control platform. We do not just import repositories. We analyse commit history to distinguish creators from contributors, original work from forks. If you forked a project and contributed nothing, it is tagged accordingly and will not be verified. If you contributed, it is tagged as a contribution. If you built it, it is tagged as yours. No one else can claim your work as theirs.
For designers: users can upload original project files or link to published work. Whatever is uploaded, we cryptographically store a signature of it. If another user tries to upload the same design in the future, we flag it and reject it. If someone uploads your work, you can dispute it and we take it down from their profile.
For video and motion creatives: the same cryptographic protection applies. We verify platform ownership through description handshakes and protect against duplicate claims across the network.
AI Analysis
We integrated an AI model to act as a Senior Architect, what we call the Human Lead. We feed it the repository's README and folder structure and enforce a strictly structured response containing quality assessments.
Projects are classified as Basic, Medium, or Impressive. This applies to code, design, and video alike. It is not a judgment of the person. It is a signal of the project's depth, so recruiters can calibrate their expectations before the interview.
The Record Score
The Record Score synthesises 23 or more verification sources into a single number: identity verification, version control connection and commit history, employment confirmations, build verification count and quality, skills extracted from actual repositories, credentials and certifications, and cross-platform reference.
A high Record Score means multiple independent sources confirm the same story. It is not a vanity metric. It is a trust metric. A recruiter seeing a Record Score already knows more about a candidate than most interviews would reveal.
Privacy and Security
Your code is never stored. For version control integration, we read repository metadata and commit history through the API. We do not import or store your source code.
Your project files are protected. For designers, we store a cryptographic signature of your uploaded file, not the file itself. This is enough to detect duplicates without exposing your work.
Your data is yours. You control what appears on your profile, what is verified, and what remains private. You can delete your account and all associated data at any time.
The Nexr Profile vs The Traditional Resume
The traditional resume is one of the oldest professional documents in existence. It has not changed structurally in decades. It is still a self-reported document that anyone can write anything on.
The Nexr profile is not a replacement built out of frustration with the resume. It is what a professional credential looks like when it is built correctly from the start.
